From Performing to Purpose

Despite three advanced degrees and a track record of consistent results, I found myself hiding in plain sight—downplaying my knowledge, suffocating my voice, and fragmenting my identity to make mediocrity comfortable around me. I barely recognized the woman in the mirror. I was suffering in silence, drowning in a sea of people-pleasing while my authentic self-gasped for air.

Long before coaching became an official title, colleagues turned to me for guidance. Seeing the quiet ache in these women—the ones who looked successful but felt unseen, the ones who had climbed high yet felt disconnected from their purpose. That ache was familiar. I knew it well. 

The revelation struck with divine timing: it is not always easy to be on purpose, nor is it comfortable to be on purpose, but it is necessary to be committed to being on purpose. This truth shattered the silence I had maintained for years. I realized that playing small wasn't serving anyone—not the organizations that needed transformative leadership, not the women watching me for permission to shine, and certainly not the purpose burning within me that refused to be extinguished.
